Here is a website of a large school district in Virginia where I spent 5 years as a teacher and professional school counselor. It is a terrific school district and they have created this suggested summer reading list for the summer.
Kids from birth to 6th grade are asked to read 15 books and students in grades 7-12 are suggested to read 8 books.
